PROJECT OVERVIEW

This healthcare app is a startup app to help lower income clients find pharmacies easily and digitally. Today, interactions between clients and pharmacies are full of friction and are largely over the phone or in person. Many healthcare providers prescribe medication without thinking about the cost to clients. In a growing digital world, our healthcare app hopes to highlight alternatives to many prescribed medications to bring down the customer cost.

PROBLEM

The cost of healthcare and medication for some diagnoses can be prohibitively expensive for much of the US population. Due to this reason, many people go without their medication or don’t take the recommended dosage.

Navigating healthcare is challenging and many apps don’t aid people in finding cheaper medication options. We want to keep lower income adults healthy and help them access the medication they need.

  • Help people see the cost of their medication

  • Create a place to search for generic or alternative cheaper medications than those prescribed

  • Help customers check availability of their medication

  • View all medications in one app

  • User test these designs to optimize it for their use

  • Run it with 20 users across different states across the US

    • Review results from user testing and iterate to improve the feature offerings

  • Share this idea with current healthcare professionals and enroll them in a beta for this app

  • Share the app more broadly/Market the app.

    • Market with ads

    • Connect with hospitals/clinics to get them to adopt the app
